Quick bZ Information

On the XLE FWD Model, the high-capacity lithium-ion battery pack powers the electric motor that is positioned in the front of the vehicle. AWD models boast two motors, one in front and one in the rear.

bZ uses the e-TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform, that positions the battery low in the chassis, for a lower center of gravity that elevates driving dynamics and increases your sense of command and control.

Take your adventures further. bZ’s All-Wheel Drive system adds X-MODE®,3 and Grip Control engineered to help you handle tricky terrain and low-grip situations like mud and snow.

bZ electric SUV makes it easy to stay in charge, with a standard Dual Voltage Charging Cable (120V/240V), and Level 2 and 3 charging connectors, so you can plug-in at home, at work, or at most public EV charging stations across the country. And Plug & Charge30 capability allows automatic identification, authentication and authorization at selected charging networks, reducing the need for multiple mobile charging applications.

 

A great pick for drivers with short commutes or overnight charging routines. Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25°C), you can go from 10% (Low Battery Light Indicator) to 100% (fully charged) in about 50 hours⁴, making it a convenient option for maintaining your charge between daily drives.

The preferred option for faster home charging. Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25°C), charging from 10% to 100% takes about 5.5 hours (XLE FWD) or approximately 7 hours (XLE AWD and LTD AWD). Installation by a licensed electrician is required, and Level 2 chargers are also available at public stations.

Best for quick top-ups on the go. Under ideal conditions (external air temperature of 25°C using a 150 kW or higher DC Fast Charger), charging from 10% to 80% can take as little as 28 minutes. Charging times may vary, and Level 3 DC Fast Charging is available only at public charging stations.
